FIRST AID TRAINING
FIRST AID AT WORK
This three-day comprehensive course will allow successful students to become ‘First Aiders’ in the workplace under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974. It can be tailored and adapted to suit your workplace or environment and is ideally suited to ‘lower risk’ businesses. The course includes both theory and practical sessions, can be held at your venue on consecutive or non-consecutive days and includes an assessment on the final day. Having passed the assessments, students are certified for 3 years.
EMERGENCY FIRST AID AT WORK
In this one-day course, our trainers will deliver a mix of theory and practical sessions in a relaxed environment, with a view to boosting learners' confidence in emergency first aid. It will include topics including the role of the first aider, incident reporting and reacting safely to an emergency, as well as responses to common emergencies such as choking, wounds, bleeding, burns and emergency CPR. This course can be held at your venue and can be tailored to the requirements of your workplace.
AED TRAINING
Automated External Defibrillation (AED) may save the life of someone suffering a cardiac arrest. This 4 hour AED course covers the recommended syllabus and provides practical time to build students’ confidence. Our trainers are practising healthcare professionals who use this equipment on a regular basis, allowing instructors to transfer their hands on knowledge of AED. We can also assist companies with advice in areas such as protocols, equipment purchase choices and on-going support with training and development.
MENTAL HEALTH FIRST AID
This 2 day course will assist students with the skills and confidence they need to help someone suffering from a mental health issue, covering issues including anxiety, depression, psychosis and suicidal thoughts. The course comprises presentations from our accredited instructor as well as group discussions and activities. On completion, students will receive a certificate and be able to call themselves a Mental Health First Aider.
APPOINTED PERSON TRAINING
A one-day Emergency First aid course designed specifically for the Appointed Person. It trains staff to deal with the common injuries and medical emergencies, comprising both theory and practical sessions designed to boost students' confidence if an emergency occurs. The course can be adapted to suit audiences and can include any specific training needs connected to your working environment. On completion, students who meet the sufficient standard will receive a certification valid for 3 years.
