This course is designed to take students' first aid skills to the next level. They'll learn how to rapidly assess, stabilise and transfer trauma victims and those suffering a medical emergency. The training includes theory and practical sessions, which will impart the knowledge learners need to work individually or as part of a team in situations and locations throughout the world. As well as the core syllabus of the course, we can provide additional training on specialist areas such as advanced trauma, fluid therapy and cannulation. 

This two-day refresher course is designed for students who already hold the IHCD-FPOS intermediate award and wish to refresh and recertify their skills. The course will re-hone the skills of students to deal with and treat the critically ill or injured casualty and refresh their knowledge. We can also provide additional training on specialist areas such as advanced trauma, fluid therapy and cannulation. This course will allow recertification for the FPOS Intermediate award with Edexcel and the IHCD. 

This comprehensive qualification meets the requirements of a variety of employment sectors and environments and provides learners with the knowledge and practical competencies needed to deal with pre-hospital emergency situations. This qualification is also ideal for learners in the healthcare sector and other sectors which require emergency care provision. Completion of this course will allow learners the opportunity to progress onto higher level FREC qualifications.
